2003 Ballon d’Or winner and current Juventus board member Pavel Nedved has been banned from games until January 31 after he confronted officials over the weekend.
Nedved was found guilty by Lega Serie A’s disciplinary panel for insulting referee Paolo Valeri after the club’s surprise defeat to Sampdoria. The ‘Old Lady’ had lost 2-1 to Sampdoria on Sunday.
Juventus’ penalty claim was turned down after Alessandro Matri appeared to be brought down inside the penalty box.
His outburst means that the 40-year-old will not be allowed to attend games until the end of this month.
Also, Catania‘s Francesco Lodi and Cagliari‘s Andrea Cossu were given bans after the duo were sent off during the latest round of matches.
