Nepal National Football Team left for Doha to play an International friendly against the Philippines. The match is scheduled to be held on April 11, 2014 at Doha, Qatar.

Despite a loss to the lower ranked Yemen in their previous friendly on March 26, the Nepalese team remain confident about winning the match against the Philippines.

The squad comprises Anil Gurung, Bhola Nath Silwal, Bikram Lama, Bishal Shrestha, Jagajeet Shrestha, Kiram Chemjong, Tanka Bahadur Basnet, Raju Tamang, Santosh Shahukhala, Rabin Shrestha, Ritesh Thapa, Rohit Chand, Sabindra Shrestha, Sagar Thapa, Sandip Rai, Jumanu Rai, Sujal Shrestha, Hitendra Karki, Biraj Maharjan, Asim Jung Karki and Deepak Rai.

Officials of the team are Lalit Krishna Shrestha (team manager), head coach Raju Kaji Shakya, goalkeeper coach Upendra Man Singh, physio Suraj Bhusal, Gaurav Thapa and Sudharhan Devekota.

The friendly matches are being played as preparation for the SAFF Championship 2015.

Officials from National Sports Council and All Nepal Football Association were present to bid farewell to the Doha bound team.
