Germany played out a closely-contested 2-2 draw against the Netherlands in their second game of League A Group 3 in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday, September 10. Despite dropping points, the Germans retain top spot by virtue of a superior goal difference, while their hosts remain in second place.

Much like the Netherlands, Germany made just one change to the XI that smashed Hungary in the last outing. Julian Nagelsmann brought in Deniz Undav to replace Niclas Fullkrug. However, the visitors had their backs against the wall from the start as the hosts grabbed an early lead via Tijjani Reijnders, with Ryan Gravenberch assisting the goal.

However, Germany did not sit back and continued attacking, with Deniz Undav finding the leveler with a thumping effort for his first goal for his nation. Shortly after, the former Brighton & Hove Albion striker was in the mix again as he provided an assist for Joshua Kimmich to score to make it 2-1. Despite not being at their best, Germany led the Netherlands at the interval.

Much like the first half, Germany looked vulnerable early in the second period as well and were punished after lackluster defending. Brian Brobbey held his own in their box and assisted an unmarked Denzel Dumfries to make it 2-2 with a tap-in at the far post. Despite having slightly more of the ball, the visitors were unable to find an opening.

When they did break through on goal, Florian Wirtz's delicate flick found Kai Havertz at the far post. However, the Arsenal forward bundled his attempt over the crossbar from close range. Besides that, Nagelsmann's men could not create much in the second period despite multiple substitutions. Germany held on and secured a 2-2 draw, and on that note, let's take a look at their player ratings.
