Barcelona superstar Aitana Bonmati has won The Best FIFA Women's Player award for 2024. The 26-year-old midfielder was an instrumental part of Barca Femini's remarkable 2023-24 season, scoring 19 goals in 41 games. She led the club to win the Primera Division, the UEFA Women's Champions League, Copa de la Reina, and Supercopa de Espana.
With Spain, Bonmati won the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023 and followed that up with the UEFA Women's Nations League. Individually, she won the Ballon d'Or in 2023 and retained the honor in 2024. She was named The Best FIFA Women's Player of the Year in 2023, and thanks to her performances, she has retained this award as well.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has taken to his Instagram account to praise Aitana Bonmati after she was named The Best Women's Player of the year. He shared a picture of her kissing the award, writing in the caption:
