Football pundit and former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville has warned Chelsea star Cole Palmer that Liverpool will be aggressive against him in their upcoming Premier League encounter. The two sides will face off in the league on Sunday, October 20.

Neville is looking forward to the Blues' visit to Anfield after the international break. He believes the hosts will be especially interested in Palmer, who has continued from where he left off least season. He said on NBC Sports:

"I always think that Anfield is the toughest place to get space. And you think about how Cole Palmer plays, and the way he always looks like he's got time on the ball, it'll be interesting to see how he does at Anfield and how Liverpool will attend to him. [They will] be really aggressive against him and test him. They won't want to let him have any joy in the game and encouragement early on. Anfield can be a place where you can get bullied a little bit, off the crowd, the atmosphere. I'll be a test for them."

Cole Palmer has been the Blues' best player this term so far. He has scored six goals and assisted five in seven Premier League matches so far.

Gary Neville sends warning to Chelsea ahead of Liverpool clash

Gary Neville talked about his experience of playing at Anfield during his time with Manchester United, stating it's a tough place to visit. He also believes it will be a big game for both Chelsea and Liverpool managers, Enzo Maresca and Arne Slot, respectively, who have started the season well.

He said on NBC Sports:

"Just how Chelsea handle Anfield… Obviously it's another big game for Arne Slot, so again, a further test for Liverpool coming off the back of the internationals. I always remember when I went to Anfield [as a player], I think it's the toughest place to go. And I think for a Chelsea team under Maresca, it's a real challenge for them. And it will be interesting to see how they fare in that."

Maresca's side are currently fourth in the Premier League table while the Reds are on top – four points clear of the Blues.
