Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus can reportedly return to Brazil and join his former club Palmeiras in the January transfer window next year.
As per Bola VIP, the Brazilian Serie A side are keen to bring back their former attacker in the winter ahead of next year's expanded Club World Cup. Gabriel Jesus joined Manchester City in January 2017 from Palmeiras for a reported transfer fee of £27 million.
The 27-year-old made 236 appearances for the Etihad outfit, scoring 95 goals and providing 42 assists across competitions. Jesus later penned a deal with Mikel Arteta's Arsenal in July 2022 for a reported sum of £45 million. He started well at the Emirates, but due to injuries, he fell behind in the pecking order.
The Gunners later signed German attacker Kai Havertz from Chelsea for a reported fee of £60 million. Gabriel Jesus has made 74 appearances for the Gunners, bagging 19 goals and 15 assists across all competitions. This year, he has made three appearances as a substitute in Arsenal's five league matches.
The Brazilian forward has struggled to stay consistent for the north London club; as per the aforementioned report, they are ready to sell him in the winter transfer window for a price of around £34 million. Gabriel Jesus was also a part of the U-17 Palmeiras squad before he arrived in England.
Arsenal getting prepared to sign £124 million-rated midfielder in the next summer transfer window: Reports
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are getting prepared to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz in the next summer transfer window.
According to Bild, the German midfielder garnered the interest of several top European clubs, such as Arsenal, Manchester City, and Real Madrid, with his performance in Leverkusen's memorable Bundesliga title triumph last season.
He joined Leverkusen's U-19 side in January 2020. Since then, Florian Wirtz has made 159 appearances, bagging 47 goals and 51 assists across all competitions. As per the above-mentioned report, the German champions are positive of getting an offer around £124 million for the 21-year-old.
However, clubs are also aiming to sign the German midfielder for around £100 million. Earlier this year, Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro stated that the club wants to keep the youngster. He said (as per Metro):
"I was mistaken in saying Florian Wirtz's price is €150 million. In reality, he is priceless. Florian is not available for transfer."
