Arsenal and Manchester United are looking to sign Cunha.

Arsenal and Manchester United have received some negative news in their pursuit of Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha. According to TBR Football, the Brazilian is unwilling to leave the club in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Vitor Pereira's men are amid a poor season that has seen them in the thick of the relegation battle. They are in 17th, just a point away from the drop on the back of two wins on the trot.

Cunha has been a silver lining in this campaign for Wolves, performing excellently going forward. He has collected 10 goals and four assists in 16 league games for the side.

This has earned him the interest of multiple Premier League teams, including the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal according to the report. However, his reluctance to move, combined with the Wolves' interest in signing him on a new contract could make a deal difficult for either side.

Cunha could be a great addition to the Gunners who have struggled to get regular contributions from their strikers. While Gabriel Jesus has seemed to pick up some form recently, a long-term injury to star man Bukayo Saka sees the side in dire need of attacking reinforcements to keep their title charge alive.

The Red Devils are also in the middle of a terrible campaign as they are currently 14th in the table. Four defeats in their last five league games have highlighted a difficult start to life under Ruben Amorim and Cunha's addition could be key as they look to turn their fortunes over.

Arsenal and Manchester United looking to sign Premier League defender: Reports

Huijsen has impressed for Bournemouth this season.
Huijsen has impressed for Bournemouth this season.

Manchester United and Arsenal are looking to secure the services of Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen. According to Spanish outlet AS, the two Premier League sides along with Real Madrid are monitoring the situation around the centre-back.

The 19-year-old has been a key player for the Cherries in what has been an impressive campaign for Andoni Iraola's side. They are currently in sixth in the table and the Spaniard has provided some strong performances in the backline. His ability on the ball and threat from set-pieces have caught the eye and he has scored twice from such situations.

While Manchester United do have a variety of options at center-back, Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans are out of contract in the summer. Further, Lisandro Martinez has struggled to find fitness and Huijsen could be a strong fit in Ruben Amorim's back three.

On the other hand, Arsenal do have Gabriel and William Saliba as their key central defenders but a slew of injuries suffered by others among their backline could prompt them to make a move for the 19-year-old.
