Arsenal are preparing to travel to the Philips Stadion on Thursday (October 27) to face PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Europa League. Mikel Arteta's wards are atop Group A after four games.
Meanwhile, former Gunners striker Kevin Campbell has backed the Gunners to sign a Brighton & Hove Albion forward next year. Elsewhere, acclaimed transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said that a Eintracht Frankfurt defender could be available on a Bosman move next summer.
On that note, here's a look at the key Arsenal transfer stories as on October 25, 2022:
Kevin Campbell backs Arsenal to sign Leandro Trossard in 2023
Kevin Campbell reckons Arsenal could complete the signing of Leandro Trossard next summer.
The Belgian forward is in the final year of his contract with Brighton & Hove Albion. However, the Seagulls have the option of an additional year. The Gunners want to add more bite to their attack next year and have their eyes on the 27-year-old.
Speaking to Football Insider, Campbell said that Trossard would thrive at the Emirates.
“I think Trossard would be a good signing. I think he would thrive at Arsenal. He would be a squad player, one you could rotate in and out of the team, and there would be no drop off. I think he is a really good player. He is very smart, has good movement, and he can finish. It would be a smart move, in my opinion," said Campbell.
Trossard has six goals and two assists in 11 appearances across competitions this season.
Evan Ndicka could be available on Bosman move in 2023, says Fabrizio Romano
Evan Ndicka could be available on a Bosman move next summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Eintracht Frankfurt defender’s contract expires next summer, but he's yet to sign a new deal. The Gunners are monitoring his situation with interest as they look to shore up their backline.
In his column for Caught Offside, Romano said that many clubs around Europe are keeping a close eye on Ndicka.
"There are many, but really many clubs interested in Ndicka. I’m told there’s a very good chance for Ndicka to leave on a free; so many clubs – not just in England – are exploring the situation," wrote Romano.
Ndicka has appeared 17 times across competitions for the Bundesliga club this season.
Kevin Campbell tips Gunners to sign Marcus Rashford
Kevin Campbell reckons Marcus Rashford could be a fabulous fit at the Emirates. The English forward has rediscovered himself at Manchester United this season under new manager Erik ten Hag.
His contract runs out next summer, but the Red Devils have a one-year extension option. The Gunners have been linked with a move for the player recently. Speaking to Football Insider, Campbell said that the north London club could move for Rashford if he becomes available next summer.
"He ticks some really good boxes for Arsenal. On the counter attack, he can be devastating. He undone Arsenal at Old Trafford earlier this season with his speed. Rashford can be devastating on his day; we know that. Manchester United are dithering by the sounds of it," said Campbell.
He added:
"I’m sure Arsenal would go for him if he became available next summer. He is an international player who has played on the big stages. He knows how to get games one. That is what Arsenal lack sometimes. It would be great to have a player of his experience as part of the rotation.”
Rashford has appeared 13 times across competitions this season, scoring five times.
