Following Manchester United legend Patrice Evra's latest dig at Arsenal, fans have hilariously reacted to the former left-back's comments on X.
During a recent chat with his former teammate Rio Ferdinand on YouTube channel Rio Ferdinand Presents, Evra went on a rant about the Gunners. He remarked (h/t X/@rioferdy5):
"Watching Arsenal is [like] watching Netflix, you know. You always have to wait for the next season and trust me, every season is going to be like that. So, don't even get involved [in comparing Manchester United with the Gunners]. Of course, United right now are a disaster but please don't speak about Arsenal. Come on!"
A Chelsea fan took a dig of his own at the Gunners, writing on X:
"[Mikel] Arteta is in season 6 😂😂😂😂 [He is] moving like Attack on Titan... it gets better at season 20."
Another supporter reacted to Evra's comments, cracking a joke:
"Arsenal [are the] football equivalent of Game of Thrones. The ending sucks doesn't matter how many times you watch it."
A football fan agreed with Evra and posted on social media:
"😂😂😂😂 that's cold but accurate."
Another football supporter hailed Evra's comic timing, writing:
"Evra is the best troll I've seen."
A fan came up with a show's name on his own, posting on X:
"Legendary quote 😂 Arsenal: All for Nothing."
Since the start of the 2022-23 campaign, the Gunners have been the second-best performing team in the English top-flight. They have registered 59 wins and just 12 losses in their last 85 Premier League games.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have struggled to maintain their position as a top team in the Premier League in the past couple of months. They have won 44 and lost 27 outings in their past 85 league matches.
Arsenal rejected summer move for 27-year-old
Speaking recently to ESPN, Palmeiras president Leila Pereira confirmed that their approach to sign Gunners striker Gabriel Jesus was snubbed earlier this summer. He said:
"Gabriel Jesus is not coming. We got in touch with them and they said: 'Leila, there are no conditions whatsoever. We are not going to negotiate for the player.' The subject is closed."
Jesus, 27, emerged as a topic of transfer speculation earlier this summer owing to his poor performances last season. He registered just eight goals and eight assists in 36 overall outings for Mikel Arteta's outfit.
So far this season, Jesus has yet to score in 11 total matches.
