Spain and Lamine Yamal's journey at Euro 2024
Lamine Yamal has had a magical time at Euro 2024, setting records and never tasting defeating. The Barcelona youngster has proven to be a key asset for Spain, contributing a goal and three assists to their cause.
La Roja, the only team to win six consecutive games in the competition, will face the winner between England and the Netherlands in the final on Sunday, July 14.
Spain beat the likes of Italy and Croatia in the group stage before eliminating Georgia, hosts Germany, and France in the Round of 16, quarter-finals, and semi-finals, respectively.
While Lamine Yamal deserves credit for his stellar performances at Euro 2024, other Spanish players have also stepped up. Dani Olmo, another La Masia graduate, is the joint top goalscorer (3) while the Spanish defense has conceded only three goals in six games.
Spain have won the European Championship thrice - in 1964, 2008, and 2012. They will undoubtedly start as favorites on Sunday, irrespective of who they face between England and the Netherlands.
