France Football have revealed the 21-25th ranked players for the 2024 Ballon d'Or awards. The released rankings see Arsenal defender William Saliba finish ahead of Cole Palmer from Chelsea.

Chelsea and England star, Cole Palmer bagged the 25th position for his exploits in the previous campaign. The former Manchester City star bagged an impressive 27 goals and 15 assists for the west London side in 48 appearances across competitions.

Arsenal and France defender, William Saliba came 24th in the rankings after a brilliant campaign in north London. He helped his club challenge for the Premier League title last season, making 50 appearances for the club and featured prominently for his nation at Euro 2024.

Manchester City and Portugal defender, Ruben Dias was named the 23rd-best footballer on the planet by France Football. The defender was part of the Pep Guardiola team that retained their Premier League title for a record fourth year in a row, featuring 45 times across competitions. He reached the Euro 2024 quarter-finals with Portugal.

Real Madrid and Germany defender, Antonio Rudiger was ranked in 22nd place in the 2024 Ballon d'Or rankings for his performances in the last year. The German was part of the Los Blancos team that claimed the UEFA Champions League, Supercopa de Espana, and LaLiga crowns last season, featuring 48 times. He reached the Euro 2024 quarter-final with Germany.

Arsenal and England superstar, Bukayo Saka was named the 21st best player in the world by France Football after another stellar campaign. The 23-year-old was a key cog in Mikel Arteta's team, bagging 20 goals and 14 assists in 47 appearances across competitions. He also helped England reach the Euro 2024 final.


Real Madrid to boycott Ballon d'Or gala after Vinicius Jr misses out on prize

According to a report by Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Vinicius Jr will not attend the Ballon d'Or after the star missed out on claiming the individual award. The Brazilian was one of the frontrunners to claim the prize in Paris today.

Vinicius Jr was a key part of Carlo Ancelotti's team last season and helped the side to LaLiga, Supercopa de Espana, and UEFA Champions League glory. He played 39 games for Los Blancos last season, pitching in with 24 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.

Despite missing out on the Ballon d'Or, the Brazilian is likely to bag a podium finish at the awards, even if he is not available to take to the stage. He has continued his fine form for the club, bagging eight goals and seven assists in 15 games this season.
