Barcelona are eyeing up a move for AS Monaco pair Vanderson and Caio Henrique in January 2025

Barcelona have reportedly been keeping tabs on AS Monaco stars Vanderson (23) and Caio Henrique (27) ahead of a potential swoop in the January transfer window. According to SPORT, the Catalan giants are seriously weighing up the option of a double-transfer for the Brazilian duo from the French principality.

Henrique moved from Atletico Madrid to Monaco for a reported €8 million in the summer of 2020. A solid offensive left-back, he has established himself as a regular starter at the club, with three goals and 34 assists in 141 appearances across all competitions.

On the other hand, Vanderson joined Monaco for a reported €11 million in January 2022. An exciting young right-back who can also play as a wide midfielder, he has bagged seven goals and 10 assists in 88 games for the club so far.

Reports have claimed that Barca's sporting director Deco will be monitoring the full-back duo closely in the Blaugrana's opening Champions League game against Monaco at the Stade Louis II.

Vanderson had offers to make a move to the Premier League in the summer, but allegedly decided against a move to England. The youngster is held in high regard by Deco, and is one of the top names on Barcelona's transfer wishlist.

At the moment, despite their solid full-back depth, Barca lack a bit of experience in those areas. Jules Kounde (25) is the only experienced campaigner in the full-back positions, with Hector Fort (18), Alejandro Balde (20) and Gerard Martin (22) still relatively new to the senior team.

Henrique could provide some much-needed depth and experience and Vanderson could be the perfect utility player on the right flank if Barcelona do make a move for the pair.

Barcelona have offered an audacious player swap for Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland - Reports

According to reports from Spain (via Football365), Catalan giants Barcelona have offered a daring swap deal to Manchester City for superstar marksman Erling Haaland.

The report claims that Barca are willing to 'sacrifice' Ronald Araujo and pay a €50 million fee in an audacious attempt to sign the 24-year-old Norwegian international. It states:

"Robert Lewandowski has the full confidence of Hansi Flick, but he is free to leave on June 30 (2026), and there is no evidence that there are currently any talks to extend his contract. In other words, it would be necessary to find a successor, and Haaland is the best positioned on the agenda."
"Haaland is not clear about his continuity at the Etihad and may choose to say goodbye, coinciding with Pep Guardiola’s farewell. And Barca is a destination that is very interesting to him. Laporta and Deco cannot pay the termination clause in their contract, but they do offer 50 million euros, in addition to Araujo’s services."

Haaland has started the season on fire, with nine goals in his first four Premier League games. With Lewandowski and Araujo's contracts expiring in 2026, the swap deal could be a make-or-break move for Barcelona.
