According to a report by Relevo via Barca Blaugranes, Andreas Christensen could leave Barcelona in January amid interest from Manchester United. The Danish defender has made only one appearance for the Catalan side this season due to injury and has seemingly lost his place in Hansi Flick's plans.
Christensen joined the Catalan club on a free transfer from Chelsea in the summer of 2022 after coming through the Premier League side's youth ranks. He made 161 appearances for the Blues and helped them to an FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Champions League, and Europa League title.
The 28-year-old also helped La Blaugrana to their 2023 LaLiga title and has made 75 appearances for the Spanish giants to date. However, Barcelona are reportedly considering cashing in on the defender in the coming windows.
Manchester United are tipped to be interested in the defender's services. The Red Devils are keen to rebuild again following the appointment of Ruben Amorim. Any funds generated from the sale of the Danish defender are expected to be invested in a new contract for Inigo Martinez. The Spaniard has formed a stable defensive partnership with Pau Cubrasi this season under Flick.

Mainoo praised the Legendary Barcelona midfielder in a recent interview with GQ via 90 mins, saying:
"I like to watch [Sergio] Busquets, the way he used to turn, Players like [Clarence] Seedorf, [Luka] Modric. Players like Yaya Toure – I like the way he used to play. I see a guy here, then I'll turn this way. Or if I don’t have to do that, I can just bounce out. I don't think, like, I'm gonna turn here… it's more that if the defender gives me an option, then I'm gonna take it."
In recent seasons, Kobbie Mainoo has established himself as a vital part of the Manchester United squad. The 19-year-old has made 44 appearances for the 20-time English champions so far, contributing five goals and one assist.
