Barcelona have suffered another setback as they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Las Palmas in LaLiga at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Saturday (November 30). La Blaugrana are now winless in their last three league matches, having recorded two defeats and a draw.

After a goalless first half, Sandro Ramirez gave Las Palmas the lead in the 49th minute. In the 61st minute, Pedri found Raphinha, who equalized with a brilliant strike from outside the box.

Six minutes later, Portuguese forward Fabio Silva gave Las Palmas the lead. Despite Barcelona's attempts to salvage a draw, the game ended 2-1 in favor of the visitors.

Barca are still atop the league standings with 34 points, having won 11, drawn one, and lost three out of 15 games. Meanwhile, second-placed Real Madrid have registered 30 points from 13 games. Los Blancos will face Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday (December 1).

They also have a game in hand against Valencia which is yet to be rescheduled. Victories for Madrid against Getafe and Valencia will give them a two-point lead ahead of Barcelona in the 2024-25 LaLiga standings.

Barcelona will travel to Mallorca for their next league game on Tuesday, December 3.

According to The Sun (via Transfer News Live on X), Barcelona have made Alexander Isak their top summer transfer target. Since joining the Magpies from Real Sociedad in August 2022, Isak has scored 40 goals and provided seven assists in 79 appearances across competitions.

Barcelona could be looking to sign Isak as a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski. Besides his goal-scoring threat, Isak's ability to hold on to the ball while attracting defenders could give Barca's wingers an opportunity to exploit the little pockets of space in attack.

In the 2024-25 campaign, Isak has netted five goals and registered two assists in 12 appearances for the Magpies. He's contracted at Newcastle till June 2028, meaning he's unlikely to be a cheap option in the transfer market.
