Wales Player Ratings against Belgium
Danny Ward - 5/10
Danny Ward made one save all game as he was beaten by high-quality finishes from Belgium.
Connor Roberts - 5/10
Connor Roberts looked to have covered Meunier's cross before he slipped under no pressure, allowing Thorgan Hazard to fire Belgium into the lead.
Chris Mepham - 4/10
Chris Mepham was unfortunate to concede the penalty in the second half. He obviously intended to clear a loose ball in the box but was beaten to it by the hungrier Mertens and advertently took a swipe at the Napoli man.
Joe Rondon - 6/10
Joe Rondon was easily the most assured defender in the Wales backline against Belgium. The Tottenham Hotspur man made an astonishing 12 clearances as he was aware of the danger and cleared it.
Jamie Lawrence - 5/10
Jamie Lawrence, alongside Rondon, was tasked with keeping Belgium's Lukaku quiet, and the duo did a good enough job.
Neco Williams - 5/10
Neco Williams, a right-back, was deployed on the opposite flank on the night and held his own. He, however, struggled to deal with De Bruyne and Meunier on his flank, as the latter constantly drifted infield to create space for the latter down the flank.
Ethan Ampadu - 5.5/10
Ethan Ampadu was very solid defensively, as he won three tackles and interceptions apiece while also winning all but one of his ground duels.
Joe Allen - 5/10
The Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen was removed less than ten minutes into the game after sustaining an injury.
Gareth Bale - 6/10
The veteran forward Gareth Bale showed immense technical quality in the build-up to his team's opener against Belgium as he bagged an assist.
Daniel James - 5/10
The Manchester United winger looked lost for large spells of the game. But Daniel James was his energetic self on the break.
Harry Wilson - 5.5/10
Harry Wilson got the opening goal of the game with a calm finish past Courtois. He was excellent on the ball, winning his duels with aplomb.
