Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke about Roberto Firmino tribute
Liverpool fans paid a heartfelt tribute as club legend Roberto Firmino played his final game at Anfield. They gifted the Brazilian a mural in a touchy gesture. Over the years, the Brazilian has given the fans many beautiful memories. It was their turn to pay back.
Jurgen Klopp was also touched by the beautiful show of love and respect. He lauded the fans for their incredible support for the players.
Speaking to the media after the match, Klopp said (via the Reds' website):
“What the people did anyway, like the mural for Bobby Firmino... I don’t know when I was the last time that touched. Yesterday we drove to the stadium because we leave our cars here and then you pass that and it’s not finished yet, it was in the middle of something, and you think, ‘Wow’."
He further added:
“How often these people do the right things in the right moment is absolutely insane. It was a big, big gesture and Bobby was really [touched]. It’s a big gesture, I have to say, really big.”
Which club Firmino will represent in the future remains to be seen. He is still an asset for any side. However, one thing is for certain: Liverpool fans will always have a special place for the talismanic Brazilian.
