Real Madrid fans believe Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has hinted at a switch to the Spanish capital in a recent interview. The English full-back has named the Santiago Bernabeu as one of his favorite stadiums.
Alexander-Arnold has spent his entire career so far at Liverpool, earning his first-team promotion in 2016 under Jurgen Klopp. He developed into one of Europe's best full-backs under the German manager's tutelage.
Alexander-Arnold has played a crucial role in Liverpool's success in recent years, helping them win the Champions League, the Premier League, and other trophies.
Since Klopp's departure, there have been doubts over the futures of some of Liverpool's marquee players. Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Alexander-Arnold all have contracts expiring in 2025, and talks of an extension are yet to take place.
During an interview with The Mirror, Alexander-Arnold was asked to name his favorite stadium other than Anfield and Wembley and he picked the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid fans are convinced that the 25-year-old is subtly asking to be signed by Los Blancos. One supporter claimed:
"Guy is flirting."

"I don’t think he could turn that down" - Pundit makes bold claim over Liverpool star Alexander-Arnold's future amid Real Madrid interest
Glen Johnson believes an offer from Real Madrid would be too tempting for Alexander-Arnold to resist if it were on the table this summer. The pundit feels his future at Anfield remains uncertain.
While Real Madrid are interested in signing Alexander-Arnold this summer, the England international intends to remain at Anfield for at least one more season, according to reports (via Metro).
However, Johnson does not see the England international staying with the Merseysiders, given the prospect of European glory with the 15-time Champions League winners.
He said (via the Echo):
“Madrid’s Madrid. Liverpool are going to be going through some uncertain times in the short-term, so if Real Madrid are at the table, it’s difficult for players to not go. If he goes there, he’s likely to win the Champions League again, so I don’t think he could turn that down and Madrid would be crazy to not try and sign him."
