Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal teammates Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva recently named one attribute each they’d love to get from the national team captain. The trio are currently on duty with Selecao for their final UEFA Nations League matches.
Ronaldo is arguably the greatest Portuguese player of all time. The 39-year-old is his nation's all-time top goalscorer with 133 goals in 216 games. He also led to them to the 2016 Euros title and the maiden edition of the Nations League in 2019.
The Al-Nassr superstar recently received the Platinum Quinas trophy - the highest accolade in Portuguese football - for his exceptional contributions to Portuguese football on the international stage.
During a recent interview on Ronaldo’s YouTube channel UR Cristiano, Fernandes was asked to name one quality of Ronaldo he’d like to have. The Manchester United captain replied:
“I always say this... I normally would say speed, but with him, I’d go headers.”
Silva, meanwhile, opted for Ronaldo’s finishing abilities. He said:
“Shooting. No, the finishing, the technique of finishing actions, I will definitely have that.”

Cristiano Ronaldo makes honest admission on 1000-career goals target
Cristiano Ronaldo recently talked about his desire to score 1000 career goals before hanging up his boots. He acknowledged that even if he never reaches the landmark, he’d take pride in finishing his career as the player with the most goals in football.
Ronaldo said (via GOAL):
"I now face my life as living in the moment. I can't think long term anymore. I said publicly that I wanted to reach 1,000 goals, but it seems that now everything is easy, just last month I reached 900. It's about living in the moment, seeing how my legs will respond in the next few years. If I reach 1,000 goals, that's fine, but if I don't, I'm already the player with the most goals in history."
Ronaldo became the first player to score 900 goals for club and country in September when he scored against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League. Since then, he has scored eight more times, taking his goal tally in professional football to 908.
The Portugal skipper will hope to add to his numbers when he leads the team against Poland (November 15) and Croatia (November 18).
