Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher chose Arsenal's Bukayo Saka over Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah during a recent interview with ESPN UK. The former Chelsea midfielder played a quick choosing game as he answered a bunch of questions.
In the first question, Conor Gallagher was asked to choose between Bukayo Saka and Mohamed Salah. With any hesitation, the Englishman backed his compatriot:
"Saka"
Gallagher was then asked to make a choice between Fernando Torres and Antoine Griezmann. The Englishman backed his teammate Griezmann but said that he loves Torres too. However, he had a hard time choosing between former Chelsea strikers Diego Costa and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. The 24-year-old said that Hasselbaink is his friend but he eventually chose Costa. He said:
"Oh my god, what are these? Me and Jimmy are friends but I didn't really watch him growing up, so, I've got to go with Diego cause he was unbelievable for both Chelsea and Atletico."
Gallagher also chose Frank Lampard over John Terry and Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal over Roger Federer.
Gallagher is an academy product of Chelsea. He joined Atletico Madrid from the Stamford Bridge outfit earlier this summer for a reported transfer fee of £38 million. Since then, he has made 21 appearances for Rojiblancos across all competitions, scoring two and assisting one goal. Atletico are currently at the top spot in LaLiga with 41 points in 18 matches.
Mohamed Salah overtakes Liverpool icon in all-time goalscoring list
Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has overtaken Liverpool Legend Billy Liddell in the Reds' all-time top goalscorer list. Liddell played for the Merseyside outfit between 1938 and 1961, scoring 228 goals.
Mohamed Salah has now overtaken the former Scottish attacker in the Reds' exclusive list by scoring 229 goals in 373 matches. During Liverpool's 6-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, the Egyptian forward scored two goals and provided one assist. In doing so, he became the first player in Premier League history to reach double figures in goals and assists before Christmas.
Mohamed Salah has scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists in 16 Premier League appearances. His current contract with the Reds will expire next summer, but Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign a new contract with the 32-year-old.
