Barcelona fans are conveying their worries on X after Hansi Flick opted to include Ferran Torres in his starting XI to face Young Boys. The two sides are set to face each other in the UEFA Champions League at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium (Tuesday, October 1).

The Blaugrana will be hoping to get their first win in the Champions League after losing their opening game 2-1 against Monaco. They are currently 23rd in the standings with zero points. Meanwhile, Young Boys lost 3-0 against Aston Villa and are 32nd in the table.

Inaki Pena starts in goal for Barcelona. Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, and Alejandro Balde make up the defense. The midfield consists of Marc Casado, Pedri, Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and Lamine Yamal. Robert Lewandowski is the lone forward as the hosts line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

However, fans have been left unimpressed by Torres' inclusion. The Spaniard has struggled to impress this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in eight appearances across competitions.

"It’s very good news to have him back in the team" - Barcelona boss Hansi Flick on Frenkie de Jong's return to the matchday squad ahead of Young Boys clash

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick recently admitted Frenkie de Jong's return to the matchday squad would be a massive boost for the squad, particularly the youngsters. The Dutchman has been named on the bench to face Young Boys in their Champions League fixture and is expected to come on as a second-half substitute.

De Jong has been out of action for five months due to an ankle injury, causing him to miss 17 games across all competitions for club and country. The 27-year-old returned to full team training two weeks ago and appears to be getting back to full fitness.

During the pre-match press conference, Flick said (via Barca Blaugranes):

“It’s very good news to have him back in the team, even if it’s only for 5 or 10 minutes at the start. We had injuries and after October we’ll have three players back. It will be very good for the team, for the youngsters. To help them. We’ve already talked about it. I don’t know how much he’ll play, maybe 20 or 10 minutes.”

De Jong is set to face stiff competition as he seeks to get back into Barcelona's starting XI. The likes of Marc Casado, Eric Garcia, and Pedri have impressed in his absence.
