Manchester United fans are unhappy with manager Erik ten Hag's decision to leave Amad Diallo out of the starting lineup against Tottenham Hotspur. The two sides are set to face off at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday, September 29. The 22-year-old Ivorian winger was dropped in favor of English forward Marcus Rashford and Argentine star Alejandro Garnacho.
Leading up to the game against Spurs, Diallo started four out of United's five league games, coming off the bench in the 3-0 loss against Liverpool. He bagged a goal against Brighton & Hove Albion and an assist against Southampton. He won over Red Devils fans with his creativity and positive attacking play.
However, Rashford and Garnacho seemingly impressed Ten Hag enough with their recent performances to get the nod for the high-stakes clash against the Lilywhites. Manchester United fans were left confused and agitated with the 54-year-old's decision, taking to X to express their feelings.

Here is a selection of fan reactions (via X):
"No Amad, there is something wrong with this guy (Ten Hag) fr," @eighty_kuye opined.
"Why drop Amad? Garna(cho) is so much better of the bench than Amad is. Smh," @josh_magara claimed.
"No Amad this guy's seriously ill man," @dylzinho7 wrote of Ten Hag.
"Only in Manchester United do the same players start every single game (Rashford, Bruno, Lisandro etc) even when they do bad, but other players like Amad who do well get dropped," @LikeeAmad noted.
"Last time Amad (was) dropped in a big game we lost 3-0 to Liverpool. He (Ten Hag) doesn’t learn," @utddenvor wrote.
"Is it compulsory to start Garnacho?.... Give Amad a run of games he has been our best winger so far," @OlaseniFeyisayo asserted.

"I won't complain but starting Garnacho instead of Amad hmm," @oluwatobi104 wrote.
Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte is set to make his first Premier League start for Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur
Uruguayan star Manuel Ugarte is set to start his first game for Manchester United against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Sunday, September 29.
Ugarte joined the Red Devils from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the summer for a reported €50 million fee. He enjoyed a stellar solitary season in the French capital, making 37 appearances across all competitions. He helped them win Ligue 1, Trophee des Champions, and Coupe de France and reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
He made his first start for Manchester United in their 7-0 drubbing of Barnsley in the third round of the EFL Cup. He also played the full 90 minutes in United's opening game of the 2024-25 UEFA Europa League, a dismal 1-1 draw against Dutch side FC Twente.
After two substitute appearances in the Premier League, Ugarte faces a tough challenge against Ange Postecoglou's Spurs in his first league start.
