Chelsea fans took a cheeky dig at Tottenham Hotspur during their Europa Conference League win over Shamrock Rovers on Thursday, December 19. The Blues faithful were in a jolly mood at Stamford Bridge as their side cruised to a 5-1 win.

During the early minutes of the match, Shamrock Rovers fans allegedly threw toilet paper while Christopher Nkunku went to take a corner. The Chelsea fans were quick to recall Tottenham fans also threw some objects at Cole Palmer during the Blues' 4-3 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this season.

The fans were heard mocking their London rivals by chanting (via Chelsea Chronicle):

“Are you Tottenham in disguise?”

Earlier this month, Chelsea faced Spurs away in the Premier League and went 2-0 down in just 11 minutes but they made a stunning comeback to win 4-3.

Enzo Maresca upbeat after Chelsea's win over Shamrock Rovers

Enzo Maresca was pleased with his side's performance in the handsome win over Shamrock Rovers. The Chelsea manager stated that his players were professional and executed his plan perfectly. He said (via football.london):

"Very excited, first of all with the performance, with the result. Once again I think they show how serious they are, how professional they are. In this kind of game sometimes it's easy to drop, but first of all they know that they are not allowed to drop, and second, we need to show that we are serious, we are professional, and once again I think they show that. And then, yeah, it's been a good chance for the young players, some of them, so we are very happy."

Talking of Marc Guiu, who scored a hat-trick in the game, Maresca added:

"Yeah, with Marc the problem is that sometimes we forget the age. He's the same age as Joshua Acheampong, Ty [George], he already scored five six goals in this competition, and since we started he's working well, he's taking his chance, and he knows that with Nicolas [Jackson] there, with Christo [Nkunku] there, it's not easy for him, but it's important that he continues to work in the right way."

The Blues have qualified for the knockout stage with a perfect record. Maresca spoke about the potential draw for the next round and said:

"I think now that we are in the next round, we have to be focused on the next round, and then if we are able to win, go in the next, but thinking to play the final or to win this competition when you have still five or six games to go, I don't think it's the correct thing."

The Blues face Everton this weekend in the Premier League, before taking on Fulham and Ipswich Town in the festive period.
