Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez watch special fireworks show in Dubai as they welcome New Year in luxury yacht

Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez spent New Year's Eve on a luxury yacht in Dubai, from where they watched a special fireworks show on New Year's Day. The couple have chosen to spend the festive period in the United Arab Emirates while the Saudi Pro League is on a break after the first half of the season.

Ronaldo, Georgina Rodriguez, and their children were together on a yacht in Dubai as the clock chimed 12 on New Year's Day. Rodriguez posted pictures of herself and the rest of the family on her Instagram account, with the fireworks visible in the background.

Georgina Rodriguez appeared to wear a white lounge dress in the photos, posing alone in a number of them while also appearing alongside Ronaldo in one. There were also various pictures of their children, as well as jewelry owned by the model.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been on winter break since December 6, when his Al-Nassr side lost to Al-Ittihad in their Saudi Pro League meeting. The month-long break is set to come to an end in the second week of January, with the Knights of Najd to face Al-Akhdoud.

The break coincided with the Gulf Cup this month, hence its length, and has given the likes of Ronaldo time to refresh ahead of the second half of the season. Al-Nassr lost two of their last three games in the league, causing them to drop to fourth place in the standings.

Al-Nassr and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo called partner Georgina Rodriguez his wife during the Globe Soccer Awards, sparking talk of a secret marriage. The pair have yet to officially tie the knot in their relationship, which is coming up to nine years.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been dating since 2016, having met while the 39-year-old was on the books of Real Madrid. The Portugal captain sparked talk of marriage just over a week ago when he spoke of his partner as his wife after receiving the Middle East Player of the Year award.

"It’s a big pleasure to win this trophy. My oldest son is here, my wife [Georgina] is here.*

The couple have five children together, two of whom were born by Georgina Rodriguez. They also lost a child, Angel, shortly after his birth in 2022, while his twin Bella survived. The forward's oldest son is also on the books of Al-Nassr, where he is honing his talent.
