Cristiano Ronaldo has advised Pep Guardiola's Manchester City to say less and focus on their game to improve their form. The Cityzens have won only one of their last 13 games across all competitions.

At the Globe Soccer Awards, the former Real Madrid star was asked his opinion on how Pep Guardiola's Manchester City can recover from their poor run of form. Cristiano Ronaldo responded that he only has to tell a few players what can be done to improve the team's form.

The former Manchester United star affirmed that he doesn't have to say anything about the Etihad outfit in front of everyone. He said that big clubs and experienced players know how to handle tough situations and understand the problem. He said (via Globe Soccer Awards YouTube):

"Say less and show more, I'll bring a few guys apart and say what I think, I don't need to say it in front of everybody. The big teams and big players are smart enough to understand what the problem is."

Manchester City are seventh in the Premier League table with 28 points in 18 matches. They last played a 1-1 draw against Sean Dyche's Everton on Thursday, December 26. Meanwhile, they are 22nd in the UEFA Champions League with eight points in six matches.

Meanwhile, later in the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony, the Portuguese forward won the award for the Best Middle East Player 2024.

Cristiano Ronaldo ranks Saudi Pro League above Ligue 1

Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that Saudi Pro League is better than Ligue 1. At the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards, the former Real Madrid attacker said that playing in the Saudi Arabian league is difficult because of the weather and wind conditions. He compared it to Ligue 1 and said that it only has Paris Saint-Germain, and all other clubs in the top-tier French football are 'finished'.

He said (via Madrid Universal):

"Saudi League is better than Ligue 1, of course. Try to run at 38, 39, 40 degree weather and see. Ligue 1 only has PSG. The other clubs are finished."

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have won 10 out of the 12 Ligue 1 titles while Monaco (2016/17) and LOSC Lille (2020/21) won the other two.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 after his contract with Manchester United was mutually terminated. Since joining the Saudi Pro League side, Ronaldo has made 83 appearances at Al-Nassr, bagging 74 goals and 18 assists across all competitions.
