Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr side reportedly placed a bid worth €25 million for Brazilian youngster Wesley. According to journalist Bruno Andrade, the Saudi Pro League side have approached SC Corinthians over the possibility of signing the 19-year-old.
The report further claims that Premier League side Nottingham Forest FC are also interested in the player and could make a bid of similar valuation. As per Andrade, the deal with the Saudi Pro League side has not progressed owing to the agents and intermediaries not being on the same page. The Brazilian club reportedly own 70% of the player's economic/image rights.
Andrade posted on X(originally in Portuguese):
"Wesley: Corinthians saw an offer of 25 million euros from Al Nassr for the striker fall; transfer did not progress due to lack of agreement between agents and intermediaries; Nottingham Forest are now on track to offer similar value; Timão owns 70% of the economic rights"
Al-Nassr already boast a talented list of attackers. Apart from Ronaldo, the likes of Sadio Mane, Otavio and Anderson Talisca are in the side. However, the addition of a promising teenager like Wesley could be useful for the side.
Wesley is one of the Brazilian league's hottest prospects. Aged just 19, he has already made 79 appearances for Corinthians' senior squad. He made his debut in April 2022, coming off the bench in a 1-1 draw against Portuguesa-RJ in the Copa do Brasil. This season, he has made 41 appearances, scoring five goals and setting up four more.
Endrick opens up on Cristiano Ronaldo after completing move to Real Madrid
Teenage star Endrick said he learned more about Real Madrid after watching Cristiano Ronaldo. The Brazilian was unveiled to Los Blancos fans after completing his move from Brazilian side Palmeiras on Saturday(July 27).
He said (via MadridXtra on Twitter):
"I hope to play here for many years. It was always a dream, when I was a child and now I am achieving it. When I saw Cristiano Ronaldo, I started to learn more about the history of Real Madrid."
Endrick was one of Brazil's hottest prospects and had a lot of suitors. However, Real Madrid moved quickly, securing his services after reaching an agreement with Palmeiras in December 2022. The Spanish giants paid a fixed fee of €35 million plus with a reported €25 million in add-ons. As per the terms of the contract, Endrick would join fhe La Liga outfit once he turns 18.
Ronaldo's legacy at Real Madrid stands clear even after his departure from the team six years ago. Alongside Endrick, the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr have also said the Portuguese star was their role model.
He enjoyed a hugely successful spell at the Bernabeu after completing a then-record move worth €94 million from Manchester United in 2009. He won the Ballon d'Or four times while also helping the team win the Champions League four times, La Liga twice and the Copa del Rey twice. In all, he made 438 appearances for the team, bagging 450 goals and 131 assists.
