Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr attacking partner Anderson Talisca is reportedly all set for a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on X.
The Brazilian, who's been with the Saudi Pro League side since the 2021-22 season, has a few more details left to finalize with the Istanbul outfit before the deal is officially done.
Talisca last renewed his contract with Al-Nassr in 2023 amid transfer speculation and insisted that he was staying put. It tied him to the club until 2026. But given the AFC Champions League regulations on non-Asian players, the uncertainty over his future never really went away.
Following the signing of Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich, Talisca has been the favorite to get axed among the other non-Asian players as the regulations allow a limited number in each squad. Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Seko Fofana, Alex Telles and Marcelo Brozovic are among those in the side.
Talisca has been a valuable member of Al-Nassr for the past three and a half years, with 77 goals from 110 appearances in all competitions. He's currently the joint-most prolific foreign player in the club's history, alongside Moroccan ace Abderrazak Hamdallah.
Al-Nassr return to action on January 9 against Al-Akhdoud in the Saudi Pro League.
Fenerbahce looking to boost title aspirations following Talisca signing
Al-Nassr have no dearth of attacking talent in their ranks, but Fenerbahce felt they did and came for Talisca. Now with the Brazilian on the cusp of joining them, the Istanbul side will hope their title ambitions get a boost.
With Talisca leading the line, their attacking vanguard is sure to get a major upliftment, as he brings plenty of attacking firepower. His finishing skills are devastating, and he possesses lightening speed too.
Jose Mourinho's side are currently trailing Galatasaray by eight points in second place, but have another 20 games in the season to turn it around. The 30-year-old's addition could prove vital in this regard, as his goals could be the secret sauce that propels them ahead in the race.
