Legendary Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has shared a video on Instagram with his daughter. The Madeira-born striker has a close relationship with his daughter.
Ronaldo is viewed by many as the greatest footballer of all time, claiming five Ballon d'Or awards throughout his two-decade-long career and scoring nearly 900 goals for club and country.
The Real Madrid legend showed his softer side in his recent Instagram post with his daughter, which he captioned:
"Daddy loves you Mommy loves you.."
The legendary striker is coming off a disappointing European Championship campaign with Portugal, where he failed to score in an international competition for the first time in his illustrious career. Ronaldo will hope to make amends for his club Al-Nassr in the new Saudi Pro-League season.
Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to win a major trophy with the Saudi Arabian side since arriving from Manchester United on a free transfer in December 2022.
What Cristiano Ronaldo has said about fatherhood
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most accomplished footballers, winning five Ballon d'Or awards, five UEFA Champions League titles, seven domestic league titles, eight domestic cups and one European Championship.
However, Ronaldo doesn't believe that these accolades come close to the greatest honour he has had: fatherhood. The Portuguese legend has been blessed with five children, Cristiano Jr, Eva, Mateo, Alana and Bella.
Speaking about the gift of fatherhood in 2018, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner said, via the New York Post:
“Becoming a parent and raising my family is honestly the greatest privilege I’ve had.
"I’m enjoying every second of it. It’s taught me things about love I never knew existed. It has softened me and given me new perspective on what is really important in my life.”
Ronaldo is heading to the end of his illustrious career and will be focused on being the best father he can be to his young family.
