England great David Beckham has shared his thoughts on Jude Bellingham's vital equalizer in The Three Lions' 2-1 UEFA Euro 2024 last-16 victory against Slovakia on Sunday (June 30).

Gareth Southgate's team, who topped Group C of the Euro 2024 with just one win, registered a thrilling comeback win to advance to the quarter-final stage. After Ivan Schranz's 25th-minute opening goal, they struggled for over an hour to level things in Gelsenkirchen.

However, with the full-time whistle seconds away, Bellingham rose to the occasion and scored an overhead kick in the fifth minute of injury time. The Real Madrid star guided the ball past Slovakia shot-stopper Martin Dubravka after England defender Marc Guehi's header.

After The Three Lions' recent win, Beckham posted on his Instagram:

"Sometimes we just have to find a way."

After Bellingham forced the encounter into extra time, England captain Harry Kane put his national team ahead in the 91st minute. The 30-year-old headed the ball in after Ivan Toney won a header in the box.

Southgate's side, who lost on penalties to Italy in the Euro 2020 final, will next face Switzerland in their Euro 2024 last-eight tie on July 6.

Roy Keane defends England after dramatic 2-1 win over Slovakia in Euro 2024 match

After England's win over Slovakia in their Euro 2024 last-16 clash at Veltins-Arena, Arsenal great Ian Wright and Manchester United legend Gary Neville were critical of the performance. However, Red Devils legend Roy Keane jumped to The Three Lions' defence.

Speaking on ITV, Keane opined on England's performance (h/t Metro):

"Sometimes after a game, you reflect on it. The lads will probably [disagree], you talk about performances, but also at this level, it is about getting over the line and winning. Everyone wants a great performance, but if they keep getting results and going through?"

Keane, who played for Republic of Ireland 67 times in his career, said:

"The next game always seems tough and if you perform like that, you're going to go out. But let's see how they go. You have to give them praise. We were critical at half-time, but they found a way. The top players found a moment. God help us when [Jude] Bellingham starts playing well, but he produced huge moments and they're getting over the line. You have to give credit where it's due."

The Three Lions relished 63% possession, recorded 16 shots, and completed 708 passes with 88% accuracy in their most-recent clash.
