Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has shared who he believes will win the Premier League and who will finish in the top four this season. The three-time league winner hopes the Gunners can finally get their hands on the title, but predicted Liverpool to be the champions.
The 2024-25 Premier League season has reached the midway point with most teams playing half of their 38 games for the season. Arne's Slot side are leading favorites for the title this season and lead the standings with 45 points after 18 games. The Reds are eight points above second-place Nottingham Forest with a game in hand.
Mikel Arteta's side occupy the third position with 38 points from 18 matches, while Chelsea are a point behind the Gunners in the top four heading into the New Year.
On his Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman recently said he hopes the Gunners would win the title. However, he acknowledged that if he were to bet on the possible league champions, it would be the Reds.
"I’m saying Arsenal, with obviously half my blood’s Red. If I was betting, you’d put it on Liverpool!" Seaman said (via TBR Football).
On the possible top-four finish, he echoed the thoughts of reporter Faye Carruthers who predicted a top-four finish of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City in that order. He said:
"I agree."
Manchester City are currently sixth, while the other 'Big 6' sides Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are in the 11th and 14th positions, respectively.
