Manchester United fans on X have lauded Bruno Fernandes following their 2-2 draw against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday (January 5). The United captain was brilliant in midfield and his creativity enhanced the team's attack.

After a goalless first half, Lisandro Martinez rifled his shot into the roof of the net in the 52nd minute after receiving a pass from Fernandes. Seven minutes later (59’), Cody Gakpo brilliantly placed his shot from a difficult angle into the net after receiving a pass from Alexis Mac Allister.

In the 68th minute, Matthijs de Ligt accidentally handled the ball with his hand in the penalty box. After a VAR review, referee Michael Oliver awarded Liverpool a penalty. Mohamed Salah converted the spot-kick in the 70th minute to give the Reds a 2-1 lead.

Substitute Alejandro Garnacho set-up Amad Diallo in the 80th minute, who slotted the ball into the net. Despite both teams' push for a winning goal, the game ended 2-2.

Fernandes had a passing accuracy of 71% (41/58). He created four chances and won nine out of 11 ground duels contested (via FotMob).

Amad Diallo was arguably one of the Red Devils' standout players against Liverpool on Sunday. He also scored the goal that secured the draw for United.

In his stint on the pitch, he had a passing accuracy of 93% (28/30). He registered one shot on target and completed two dribbles (via FotMob).

The youngster has scored three goals and registered six assists in 18 Premier League appearances this season. Manchester United are ranked 13th in the league table, having registered 23 points from 20 league games.

The Red Devils will face Arsenal in their next game in the FA Cup on Sunday (January 12).
