Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid presentation has matched the number of fans in attendance to that of Cristiano Ronaldo's in 2009. The 25-year-old forward joined Los Blancos in the beginning of June 2024 after being linked with a move to the Spanish giants for a few seasons.
Mbappe's presentation at Real Madrid was attended by 80,000 fans, which is the same as that of Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined the La Liga giants for a then world record £80 million.
Mbappe arrives at Santiago Bernabéu after a six-year tenure at Paris Saint-Germain, where he also played for a season on loan from Monaco in 2017-18. The Frenchman is the Ligue 1 club's all-time leading scorer with 256 goals, and in his last season there he won the league title, the French Cup, and the French Super Cup.
During his presentation at Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe said:
"My other dream now is to be at the level of the best club in the world. I will give my life to this club."
"I won't speak more because I'm going to cry (laughs)," added the star forward.
In seven years at the French club, Kylian Mbappe bagged 15 trophies, including six Ligue 1 titles, four Coupe de France, two Coupe de la Ligue, and three Trophée des Champions.

Kylian Mbappe offered tribute to Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo during his unveiling ceremony in front of Real Madrid fans. The Frenchman wrapped up his presentation by recreating one of the 39-year-old's moments at Los Blancos.
Mbappe finished his speech at the presentation with the former Real Madrid star's 'Uno, dos, tres... Hala Madrid!' moment from 2009.
The AS Monaco academy graduate's contract with the Spanish giants is valid until June 2029. The France national team captain will reportedly earn an annual salary of between €15 million and €20 million and a whopping signing-on bonus of €125 million.
Mbappe has received the No. 9 shirt, and become the first Real Madrid player to wear this number since Karim Benzema.
