Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez gave birth to her second child Bella Esmeralda last year. However, the birth was not a straight forward one, as she was pregnant with twins.
While her daughter survived, her baby son didn't, a disheartening incident. Rodriguez revealed that she has had three miscarriages previouly. Speaking about her visits to gynecologists at the time pf Esmeralda's birth, Rodriguez said:
"Every time I went to the gynecologist at night, I had nightmares because I worried about the position they would be in, what the delivery would be like, if it was a caesarean section."
She added:
“I was very scared at each ultrasound. I felt very tense because I had already had three miscarriages and came home in pieces."
Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez released a heartbreaking statement when their baby son died in 2022. They posted on social media:
“It is with our greatest sadness that we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. This is the greatest pain a parent can feel. You wonder how you will continue.”
They added:
“Only the birth of our little girl gives us the strength to live this moment with a little hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all of their expert care and support. We are all devastated by this loss and kindly ask for confidentiality at this very difficult time. Our little boy, you are our angel. We will always love you."
