Fans were unimpressed with Diogo Dalot's display in Manchester United's clash against Arsenal in the Premier League. The match ended in a 2-0 loss for the Red Devils at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, December 4.
Following a goalless first half, Arsenal opened their scoring through Jurrien Timber in the 54th minute. William Saliba doubled the score for the hosts in the 73rd minute.
Dalot missed a couple of chances to score for Manchester United. The 25-year-old had 58 touches and maintained a pass accuracy of 88% in the match. But he was not involved in any key passes and had two shots off target while losing possession 10 times.

"Dalot is the most serious and useless player I have ever known"

Ruben Amorim on Manchester United's 2-0 loss against Arsenal in the Premier League
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim shared his thoughts after his side lost 2-0 to Arsenal in the Premier League. The Portuguese manager was appointed by the Red Devils in November following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag.
The loss against Arsenal marked Amorim's first defeat since taking charge at Old Trafford. Following the match, the former Sporting CP manager mentioned that the Red Devils require more training sessions and said (GOAL):
"Tough game. We tried to play our game, especially in the first half. We need more trainings. The set pieces change everything, change the momentum. It was really hard for them. We tried, but we had two set pieces and didn’t score. They scored."
Ruben Amorim further highlighted the importance of set pieces and said:
"We have to understand that they have years of doing that [set pieces]. Even when you are here for so long, you can see how their set-pieces can change that. We tried to defend them in the space of two days to train."
"I learned that we are smart when we have the strategy. We are finding the way to press and the way to block. We will be better in time. We have to improve in every minute. We have to use every minute to try to improve and fight for the games," added the Red Devils boss.
Manchester United maintained a ball possession of 49% against Arsenal while having two shots on target.
