Arsenal fans called out Leandro Trossard following the 1-1 Premier League draw at Brighton on Saturday (January 4). Trossard was poor in attack and failed to offer any meaningful contribution.
Ethan Nwaneri opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 16th minute following a pass from Mikel Merino. However, the visitors failed to kill the game off by scoring a second.
Just before the hour mark, William Saliba fouled Joao Pedro, and referee Anthony Taylor awarded Brighton a spot-kick. Pedro converted the spot-kick to draw level for Brighton as a draw ensued.
Trossard had a passing accuracy of 89% (31/35). He registered one shot off-target and lost possession seven times (via Sofascore). Fans took to X to express their disappointment with Trossard's performance, with one tweeting:
