England have released a provisional 33-member squad for their training camp prior to UEFA EURO 2024. While most of the team's experienced members have made the roster, a few, particularly Marcus Rashford and Jordan Henderson, have missed out.
Rashford has endured a poor season with Manchester United, recording just eight goals and five assists in 42 matches across competitions. Henderson, meanwhile, began the season with Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia following a controversial move from Liverpool. However, just 17 league appearances into his spell, he secured a move to Ajax, featuring 12 times for them.
Neither player has made it into Gareth Southgate's latest England squad, which has seen Jarell Quansah, Adam Wharton and Curtis Jones receive maiden call-ups. Here is the complete squad:-
Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, Aaron Ramsdale, James Trafford
Defenders: Jarrad Branthwaite, Lewis Dunk, Joe Gomez, Marc Guehi, Ezri Konsa, Harry Maguire, Jarell Quansah, Luke Shaw, John Stones, Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker
Midfielders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Gallagher, Curtis Jones, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice, Adam Wharton
Forwards: Jude Bellingham, Jarrod Bowen, Eberechi Eze, Phil Foden, Anthony Gordon, Jack Grealish, Harry Kane, James Maddison, Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka, Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins
Chelsea trio Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling, and on-loan Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho didn't make the squad either.
