Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has advised his Manchester United counterpart Ruben Amorim about dealing with the uncertainties of football management. The Portuguese took over as the new Red Devils manager last month after the club decided to part ways with Erik ten Hag.

Arteta, meanwhile, has been in charge of the Gunners since December 2019 and has improved the team with leaps and bounds. The north London side narrowly missed out on the Premier League last season and are in the title race once again this year.

Speaking recently, as cited by GOAL, Arteta reflected on his experiences as Arsenal manager to point out that the job can be quite unpredictable.

"How unpredictable this job is. I jumped into a new job in the middle of the season in very special circumstances socially. Then we got hit by COVID. You can plan whatever you want but football brings different things and you have to deal with it. Take it as it comes and deal with it," said Arteta.

Amorim arrived at Manchester United as one of the most promising young managers in the world. He has enjoyed an impressive start to life with the Red Devils, winning two of his first three games.

The Old Trafford outfit have scored eight goals, and conceded three, in three games under their Portuguese head coach. Manchester United next face Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday, December 4, in the Premier League.

Could Arsenal lock heads with Manchester United for a Swedish striker in 2025?

Arsenal and Manchester United could go to war for Viktor Gyokeres next year, according to recent reports. The Swedish striker is a long-term target for the Gunners, who apparently considered a move for the player this year.

However, the north London side ultimately opted to prioritize other areas of the pitch and a move for Gyokeres never materialized. The 26-year-old remains a part of conversations at the Emirates, especially since Gabriel Jesus has been underwhelming so far.

The Brazilian has registered just one goal from 17 games this season for Arsenal. Gyokeres, who has plundered in 24 goals in 21 games for Sporting this campaign, will certainly be an upgrade on Jesus at the Emirates.

However, recent reports have suggested that Manchester United have already initiated steps to take the Swede to Old Trafford. Gyokeres rose to prominence under Amorim and could be open to a reunion at Old Trafford next year.
