Fans were impressed with Eduardo Camavinga’s performance during Real Madrid’s Supercopa de Espana semi-final against Mallorca on Thursday (January 9). Los Blancos won 3-0 to set up a third consecutive El Clásico Supercopa final against Barcelona on Sunday (January 12).
Real Madrid dictated proceedings right from the beginning. However, despite seeing plenty of the ball in the first half (67%), they couldn’t break through Mallorca's defense, as the scoreline remained 0-0 at the break.
Real Madrid continued the second half with the same theme as the first and took the lead in the 63rd minute. Jude Bellingham put Los Blancos ahead as he pounced on Kylian Mbappe’s effort which was initially denied by goalkeeper Dominik Greif.
Carlo Ancelotti continued with the momentum despite taking the lead but couldn’t add a second until three minutes into the stoppage time. Mallorca defender Martin Valjent put the ball into his own net after trying to prevent Brahim Diaz’s pass from getting to Mbappe. Rodrygo put the game to bed (90+5'), tucking home a cross from Lucas Varquez.
Eduardo Camavinga stood out for Real Madrid despite not scoring or providing an assist. The Frenchman recorded 78 touches, two key passes, 97% accurate passes (57/59), and a rating of 7.6, as per Sofascore. After the match, fans took to X to heap praise on him for his performance.

"We deserved to win" – Carlo Ancelotti on Real Madrid’s win over Mallorca
In the aftermath of Real Madrid’s 3-0 victory over Mallorca in the semi-final of the Supercopa de Espana, Carlo Ancelotti assessed his side’s performance. The Italian manager said Mallorca made the game difficult for them but further said they played well as a team and thus deserved to win.
Ancelotti said in the press conference (via the club’s website):
"We suffered despite the fact that we started very well. We had our chances to score in the first half. It was a demanding game because Mallorca defended very well, closed down very well and looked for their chances with crosses. They created problems for us on a couple of occasions."
"Although we weren't at our best, we played well as a team and we deserved to win. We did well at the back. After Tchouameni's injury, Raúl Asencio came on and played well. Against Barcelona we'll try to defend and attack well because that's football," he added.
Real Madrid will face Barcelona in the final of the Supercopa de Espana on Sunday (January 12). The two sides faced each other in the last two finals of the competition. Madrid won the most recent clash 4-1, while Barcelona won the 2023 final 3-1.
