The thief who once looted the homes of Cristiano Ronaldo and the latter's former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema recently opened up about both robberies.
While speaking on the Spanish program Y ahora Sonsoles, the infamous thief admitted to robbing the houses of several famous people. Discussing the same, he said (Corriere dello Sport):
"Once I have identified the famous person, I follow him, I chase him, it could take months... until there is no one else inside the house except him."
Speaking about breaking into Ronaldo's house in Portugal, the thief said:
"Yes, it was me who robbed Cristiano Ronaldo's house in Portugal. The value of the loot could be 2 million but then it has to be divided and we're talking about 300 thousand and 300 thousand for four people. Something remains but it doesn't catch your attention."
About the former Los Blancos striker Benzema, who now represents Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, he added:
"Benzema is one of those profiles that we have focused on. The fact is that in Spain, nothing happens without everything first coming into our hands. Benzema is not a saint, he also knows his sins."
The criminal said that he is a popular figure, with people asking him for signatures, photos, and even advice. He believes no one can stop him for now.
"They ask me for autographs, they ask me for photos, they ask me for advice. There is no one who can stop me and nothing who can oppose me," he added.
Karim Benzema consulted Cristiano Ronaldo before joining Saudi Pro League- Reports
TalkSPORT has reported that Karim Benzema spoke with former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo before joining the Saudi Pro League in the summer. The aforementioned report came out at a time when the former France international was considering a move away from Los Blancos in May.
Both players managed to appear beside one another on 342 occasions for Real Madrid, managing 76 joint goal contributions in the process. Together, they won the UEFA Champions League four times and got their hands on the La Liga trophy twice, among other honors.
Ronaldo completed a move to Al-Nassr in January 2023 from Manchester United. After having spent several years together at the Santiago Bernabeu, it would come as no surprise that Karim Benzema wished to consult the Portuguese icon before his decision.
Eventually, the 35-year-old striker drew the curtain on his 14-year career at Real Madrid, where he bagged 354 goals and 165 assists from 648 appearances. He decided to join Al-Ittihad in the summer.
