Manchester United fans are unhappy with Diogo Dalot being named in the club's starting XI for their upcoming clash against Nottingham Forest. The Premier League clash is slated for Saturday, December 7, at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils' starting lineup against Nottingham Forest includes André Onana, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martínez, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Højlund.

Diogo Dalot has had an underwhelming start to the ongoing campaign, including in Manchester United's last Premier League clash. The 25-year-old missed a couple of attempts in the Red Devils' 2-0 loss against Arsenal on December 4. He has registered only two assists in 22 appearances for the club so far this season.

Fans on social media expressed their disappointment with Ruben Amorim's decision to include Diogo Dalot in Manchester United's starting XI against Nottingham Forest. While some fans wanted the Portuguese defender to be benched, others stated Noussair Mazraoui should have started instead. Here are some of the reactions from X:

"Wrong game to bench Mazraoui ngl. Dalot should have been benched," a fan wrote.

Another added:

"I’m so tired of Dalot starting man"
"Dalot is burnt out 100%! He will not play well again until he rests," chimed in another fan.

One account posted:

"Dalot needs to be on the bench"

Another tweeted:

"Love it. Change Dalot for Mazraoui and we have a team."
"why Dalot over Mazraoui," posted another.

One user wrote:

"Dalot is a liability"

While another wrote:

"DALOT AHEAD OF MAZZRAUIO ?"

Diogo Dalot arrived at Old Trafford from his boyhood club Porto in 2018 and has appeared in 179 matches for Manchester United while recording six goals and 12 assists. He has contributed to eight clean sheets for the club this season.

Chris Sutton gives his predictions for Manchester United's PL clash against Nottingham Forest

Pundit Chris Sutton has shared his predictions for Manchester United's Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest. The former English striker has predicted a 2-1 win for the Red Devils. While speaking about the upcoming match, he recalled Forest's 3-0 loss to Manchester City in their last league clash, but mentioned that he expects them to score against Ruben Amorim's side.

The BBC sports columnist wrote (via the BBC):

"I don't see this game as being straightforward for United, either. Forest have already won at Anfield this season and they created chances against City on Wednesday, so I am expecting more of same from them here."
"I am going to be a bit coward with my prediction, though. I backed Forest to get something at the Etihad Stadium, and I was wrong, so I am not brave enough to back them again on their return to Manchester. I'm disappointing in myself with the prediction to be honest, although I do think Forest will score this time," added Sutton.

Manchester United have a good record against Nottingham Forest, having won 54 out of the 112 matches played between the two clubs, while Forest managed 34 victories. The Red Devils are currently 13th on the Premier League table with 19 points from 14 matches, while Nuno Espirito's side are ninth with 22 points after the same number of fixtures.
