Former Real Madrid star Toni Kroos believes Florian Wirtz can be a 'great addition' to Real Madrid. The forward has been a subject of transfer speculation lately, with Los Blancos being linked with him.

Since breaking into Bayer Leverkusen's senior team in 2020, Wirtz has gradually molded into a world-class player. He is currently enjoying another prolific spell in front of goal with the German champions.

Last season, Wirtz was the catalyst behind their historic Bundesliga triumph under manager Xabi Alonso. The 21-year-old managed 11 goals and 12 assists in the competition.

His achievements with the side haven't gone unnoticed by the big clubs around Europe, who are now lining up for his services. That includes Spanish champions Real Madrid, who are rumored to be interested in him.

Kroos, a vital cog in their midfield for 10 years, recently weighed in on the saga, asserting that Wirtz could fit into any side right now, including that of Los Blancos. According to German news outlet BILD, he said (via Madrid Xtra on X):

“Florian Wirtz to Real Madrid? He can adapt to any team, including Real Madrid. With his quality, I think it’d be a great addition.”

Combining deadly finishing skills with precocious inguenity, Wirtz is special, and attacking midfielders don't come better than him. At 21, he's still very young, and a move to Real Madrid could signal a big step up towards realizing his potential.
