Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker came up with a hilarious chant about his teammate John Stones during their title celebrations. The Cityzens won the Premier League title for the fifth time in six years after Arsenal's 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
After defeating Chelsea 1-0 on Sunday, May 21, the players headed to private Manchester club MNKY HSE to celebrate the league triumph. All the players were in a jolly mood with Erling Haaland even cooking a steak in his pajamas.
Walker started an x-rated chant during the celebrations. The right-back sang about his defensive partner, John Stones (via The Sun):
"Johnny, Johnny Stones. He f***ing hates [Manchester] United."
Both Kyle Walker and John Stones were crucial for Manchester City in their Premier League triumph. The right-back made 25 appearances in the league, helping them keep nine clean-sheets.
Stones, meanwhile, made 22 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
City became only the second team to complete a 'threepeat' (three consecutive league titles) in the Premier League era. Manchester United, the subject of Walker's chants, have done so twice - 1999 to 2001 and 2007 to 2009.
Jamie Redknapp made a stunning claim about Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been a serial winner throughout his career. He has helped teams like Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Manchester City win lots of trophies.
Guardiola's influence, however, goes beyond the trophies he has won. He has revolutionized football in the last 15 years, bringing positional play and a possession-oriented approach to the fore.
Speaking about the Spanish tactician, former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Jamie Redknapp recently told Sky Sports:
"I think he's the greatest ever and why I say that is that he has changed football. There have been some great managers. You go through history, Arrigo Sacchi, what he did with AC Milan, Johan Cruyff… Managers who have changed things forever, and he is certainly one of them."
Redknapp added:
"When you go and watch football now, be it grassroots or whatever, everybody plays the Pep way. People play out from the back when we thought it is impossible. He has changed peoples' perception of the game. You have midfield players and defenders going into different areas, playing out, splitting defences, and for me he is the greatest ever."
City have also reached the finals of the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League this season. If he can guide his team to the treble, Guardiola can cement his status as one of the greatest managers in the history of football.
