Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana's agent has seemingly ruled out a move for his client to Chelsea.
Onana's agent Albert Botines has insisted that the Cameroonian shot-stopper is happy at the San Siro. The 27-year-old arrived at Inter as a free agent last summer after his contract with Ajax expired. He told TVPLAY_CMIT:
"Transfer market rumours are normal at this stage, but I prefer not to talk about it because it’s very early and now the boy is focused only on the pitch."
Onana was instrumental in his side's journey to the UEFA Champions League final. They booked their place in the final against Manchester City by beating their cross-city rivals AC Milan 3-0 on aggregate. The Cameroonian kept two clean sheets over the course of two legs and was impressive against the Rossonerri.
Botines insists that Onana is concentrating on the final despite links with Chelsea, claiming Inter to be the strongest team in Italy:
"We have a five-year contract with Inter. He has another four years on his contract and now he is focused only on the Serie A final and the Champions League final. He still has a long contract, don’t worry. He’s very happy, he’s playing for the strongest team in Italy."
Onana's contract with the Nerazzurri expires in 2027 but he is wanted by the Stamford Bridge giants. Reports claim that the west Londoners are interested in having the Cameroonian replace Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Inter shot-stopper has been in superb form this season, keeping 19 clean sheets in 38 games across competitions. He became the first goalkeeper in the side's history to keep seven clean sheets in a Champions League campaign.
It appears that Chelsea will have to turn their attention elsewhere amid their search for a new goalkeeper. Brentford's David Raya and Everton's Jordan Pickford have been mooted as options.
Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek looks set to join AC Milan in the summer
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is in advanced talks to join AC Milan in the summer. The Englishman has failed to establish himself as a consistent starter during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Loftus-Cheek, 27, has started 20 of 30 games this season, providing two assists. Injury woes have blighted his Blues career and he looks set to exit the club. Romano said on his official YouTube channel:
"For Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Milan are in very advanced talks, from what I understand. AC Milan are really pushing on that one, negotiations are advanced between clubs, the player is open to the move."
The English midfielder could be part of a Chelsea mega sale with several first-team players expected to depart. They need to comply with Financial Fair Play after spending over £600 million since the change in ownership in May 2022.
