Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson has opened up about Arne Slot's approach to each game. The Scottish defender insists that no player is perfect in the manager's eyes.

The Merseysiders have been in superb form under Slot in his first season in charge and Jurgen Klopp's departure doesn't seem to have affected their performances.

The Reds sit at the summit of the Premier League table after Christmas, ahead of second-placed Chelsea by a substantial seven points. Liverpool have a game in hand as well over the Blues, so they could further increase the gap to 10.

Slot's men secured a 3-1 victory over Leicester City on Boxing Day, with Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones, and Mohamed Salah getting on the scoresheet. Jordan Ayew opened the scoring for Leicester within six minutes but the Foxes failed to keep their opponents at bay.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Robertson was asked how Slot prepares for matches.

The Scotland international said (via Rousing The Kop):

“He tweaks our role in every single game. Tactically he is unbelievable! The manager demands more. I don’t think we are quite perfect in his eyes. That’s what we want.”
"You have to play different ways in different weeks. We’ve done that all season. We’ve adapted well. We have to keep doing it. You don’t win anything in December.”

The Reds will next face West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday (December 29).

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah explains his 'dream' for this season after 3-1 win over Leicester

Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah has admitted that he dreams of winning the Premier League this season.

Salah has established himself as one of the best players to have played in the English top-flight during his time at Anfield. The Egyptian forward was instrumental to the club's success under Jurgen Klopp.

This season, the 32-year-old has shown no signs of decline, scoring 19 goals and providing 15 assists in 25 appearances across all competitions so far. With Liverpool in pole position halfway into the season, Salah hopes that they can go all the way and win his second Premier League title.

He said on Prime Video Sport:

"The most important thing is the team winning -- hopefully we win the Premier League. It is great, but we focus on each game and hopefully we carry on like that. [This year] it feels different, but the most important thing is we need to stay humble. This one is very special, hopefully we win the Premier League and for this club, it is something I dream of."
