Former Manchester United forward and AC Milan chief Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that he's very familiar with Marcus Rashford. This comes after speculations linking the Englishman with a move to the Rossoneri in the ongoing winter transfer window.
Rashford's future at Old Trafford has been uncertain in recent weeks having missed United's last six games. It also appears that his relationship with head coach Ruben Amorim has fallen apart.
Thus, Ibrahimovic shared his thoughts about Milan's potential negotiations for Rashford. He said (via Fabrizio Romano):
"I know Marcus well, we used to play together. AC Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, all players want to be here."
He added:
“It’s not an easy deal with Man United… we will see whether we decide to open talks or not."
Rashford has been a key player for United in recent years, he's best known for his pace and attacking intuition. Despite the Red Devils' inconsistency this season, he has scored seven goals and registered three assists in 24 games.
Rashford's attacking flexibility and attacking proficiency could enhance AC Milan's attack if the potential deal goes through. The Englishman could also be seen as a long-term replacement for Rafael Leao who has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
Ibrahimovic and Rashford lifted the 2016 FA Cup title and the 2016-17 Europa League trophy as teammates at United.

The Red Devils head coach has claimed that United always strive to keep their best players. This comes after rumors surrounding Kobbie Mainoo's future at Old Trafford have emerged.
