“I’m like Ronaldo’s son, basically” - Cristiano Ronaldo fan IShowSpeed involved in hilarious incident with Dutch police while streaming in Netherlands

Popular YouTube personality IShowSpeed told the Netherlands police that he was Cristiano Ronaldo's son in a recent stream online. The internet sensation is a massive fan of the Portuguese superstar and is constantly spotted sporting jerseys of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

IShowSpeed was recently out in the Netherlands, and during a stream, the 19-year-old was mobbed by fans. With the youngster and his entourage on a boat, the Dutch police came over to question him when he said (via The Sun):

"Wait, listen, I'm a famous football player, I'm a famous streamer, you know me. Cristiano Ronaldo? Yeah, that's my... I'm kin to him, and I do YouTube, and all these Netherlands, German and Dutch people are coming after me, 'Speed, Speed!'"

"I'm like calm down, calm down, get off the way, get off the way. And they're just coming out at me. Like basically I'm just like, I'm like Ronaldo's son basically. Like, I swear to god, like I got the pictures."

IShowSpeed did get to meet his footballing icon in 2023. He posted the video online and also shared the images of his meeting with the 39-year-old striker on his X account.

Currently, Ronaldo is away with Portugal at Euro 2024. The 2016 champions have already secured qualification for the knockout rounds and will play their last group game against Georgia on Wednesday, June 26.

During this interview, the Manchester United legend wanted to learn the reasons behind IShowSpeed's obsession with the former Real Madrid superstar. He replied:

"Ronaldo, right, if you just look at him, you know what I'm saying. I don't care what you are, man, woman, animal, when you look at him, you get this sense of like presence. Like the way he takes his free kick, the stance, he locks you in. And I fell in love at first sight."
