Gary Neville has warned Chelsea star Raheem Sterling that he cannot get into the starting XI at Arsenal and Manchester United. He believes that the forward is not going to go up the pecking order already set at the clubs.

On his podcast, Neville said that Manchester United and Arsenal already have enough players in Sterling's position. He added that the move would not be ideal for the Chelsea star and said:

"I love Raheem Sterling obviously worked very closely with him when I was there, I'm not quite sure why at the moment Manchester United would see that as a piece of business looking at their squad. They've got players they need to try and get the best out of. They've of got Amad, Antony, Rashford and Garnacho who play in those areas.
"If they're losing faith in one or some of those players maybe they'd sign Raheem Sterling but it doesn't strike me at this moment in time as being an essential signing for Manchester United. They've got four players they need to get into form and get going themselves."

He added:

"Arsenal have got Jesus, Trossard and Martinelli who can play on that left side you've got Saka on the other side who his so reliable and ever-present. It doesn't stand out and strike as making sense. I can see why Chelsea want him out and the situation over the last few weeks will mean they're desperate to get him out."

Arsenal and Manchester United have shown interest in Raheem Sterling but the transfer window closes today (August 30).

Raheem Sterling has no future at Chelsea, confirms Enzo Maresca

Enzo Maresca has said that he has no plans to reinstate players who have been frozen out this summer. The Chelsea manager added that he would not be giving minutes just to keep players happy and said via Goal:

"The ones who are not involved, they are all players who are not going to be involved and they don't get any minutes in case they stay. I don't know what happens when the window closes. We will see who is here and who is not here. The only thing I can say is the ones who are going to get minutes are the ones who I think can help us."

Chelsea take on Crystal Palace this weekend (Sunday, September 1) in the Premier League. They beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-2 away last weekend in the league. They then lost 2-1 away to Servette in the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League playoffs on Thursday but qualified on aggregate score of 3-2.
