Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has praised Leny Yoro, referring to the French defender as a 'special talent.' The 19-year-old arrived at Old Trafford in July for a reported fee of £59m, making him one of the most expensive centre-backs ever.

Leny Yoro is yet to make his competitive debut for the Red Devils as he sustained a foot injury in a pre-season friendly match against Arsenal on July 28 and had to undergo surgery. He returned to training in early November.

Manchester United are set to face Arsenal in their next Premier League match on Wednesday, December 4, at the Emirates Stadium. In his pre-match press conference, Ruben Amorim stated that Yoro is likely to be included in the squad for the fixture. The Portuguese tactician said (via BBC Sport):

"Maybe Leny Yoro is going be in the squad. I feel he is in a good moment now, his fitness is better."

Ruben Amorim also expressed excitement about seeing the Frenchman on the pitch. The former Sporting CP coach said:

"He is a special talent, we have to be careful in the first moment. We didn't have too many training [sessions] together. He has been training with a small group of players. He is really fast, a modern defender. He will be good when we want to press high and you leave a lot of strikers in this league one against one, he can manage that. He is very good with the ball so I am very excited. We have to be careful, we have to manage the load and minute in the beginning but I am really excited to see Leny Yoro playing."

Leny Yoro signed a five-year contract with the option of an additional year with Manchester United after leaving his boyhood club, LOSC Lille. He registered three goals and one assist in 60 appearances for the Ligue 1 side's first team.

Manchester United reportedly interested in Juventus star Kenan Yildiz for next summer transfer window

Manchester United have identified Juventus star Kenan Yildiz as their top transfer target for the next summer, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg. The 19-year-old is reportedly of interest to the Red Devils with newly appointed manager Ruben Amorim looking to strengthen his squad at Old Trafford.

However, despite the interest from the Premier League giants, Kenan Yildiz is reportedly unwilling to leave Juventus in the upcoming summer.

Yildiz started his senior career with Juventus' reserve team in 2022 and made his Serie A debut in August 2023. The Turkish teenager has registered four goals and three assists in 19 appearances across competitions so far this season.

Overall, Kenan Yildiz has recorded eight goals and four assists in 51 appearances across competitions for Juventus. His current contract with the club is valid until the summer of 2029.
