Jamie Carragher has predicted Chelsea to finish above Manchester City in the Premier League this season. However, he still believes Arsenal are the biggest threat to Liverpool's title hopes.

On The Overlap, the former Reds defender claimed that Enzo Maresca's side are playing well and doing much better than expected. He added the Blues would do better than Manchester City, who have struggled lately.

"There we go. I'm telling you, Chelsea are going to finish above Man City. They're winning games with ease. The way they played against Arsenal, the way they played against Liverpool. As a Liverpool fan I'm more worried about Arsenal than Chelsea, they're a bit more machine-like than Chelsea. But Chelsea are playing so well," Carragher said.

Chelsea are currently second in the Premier League table with 28 points, level on points with third-placed Arsenal and seven behind league leaders Liverpool. The Blues are just two points ahead of Manchester City, who lost four of their last five Premier League games.

Jamie Carragher changes prediction on Chelsea

At the start of the season, Jamie Carragher predicted Chelsea to finish seventh or lower but changed his stance. Speaking earlier this week, the Liverpool legend claimed that he was impressed with the Blues and backed them to finish in the top four this season.

"I think Chelsea have been so impressive at the start of the season and a lot better than I thought they would be. So I am actually looking at Chelsea now. I can't really make a case for them not being in the top four. I think the fact they've gone out the Carabao Cup early, the European competition that they're in, I think they'll go in long until the end of the season and probably win that competition but it's against very average, ordinary opposition so we know Maresca has played the second team in every game and I think that will continue," he said.

"So I find it very difficult not to put Chelsea in my top four. I will now change Tottenham and Chelsea. The reason with Tottenham is just that inconsistency, you look at their numbers, their underlying numbers this season, they're actually better than they were last season when Tottenham were top of the table and had made the best start for a long time under Ange Postecoglou," Carragher added.

Chelsea will next take on Tottenham Hotspur in the league on Sunday, December 8.
