Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has suggested that Son Heung-min would have thrived at a flying team like Liverpool. Son, who captains both Spurs and South Korea, has been the Lilywhites' talisman over the years since joining the club in 2015.

Son has been immense for the north London giants since his reported £22 million switch from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015. The South Korean superstar has been a consistent goalscorer over the years for Tottenham and has been the face of the club since Harry Kane's departure.

Ange Postecoglou has claimed that Son would have done well in terms of goalscoring if he were at Liverpool. He hailed Mohamed Salah who is in the form of his life right now but insisted that Son would have scored more goals if he played for the Merseyside giants. The Australian manager told Sky Sports, as quoted by Empire of the Kop:

“Mo’s a world-class player, but if you put him in our team at the moment, I’m not sure he would have the same impact because of the situation we’re in as a group. He’s playing in a fantastic team that are flying at the moment."

Postecoglou added:

"I’d hazard to say that if you put Sonny [Heung-Min Son] in Liverpool’s team, I reckon his goalscoring return would be decent. It’s hard for our players at the moment; they’re trying awfully hard to be the best they can be.”

Son has made 432 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur over the years scoring 169 goals and providing 90 assists. The Premier League Golden Boot winner in 2021-22 has seven goals and six assists in 24 games this season.

Mohamed Salah, on the other hand, has been arguably the best forward in the Premier League since his move to Anfield in 2017. The Egyptian King has scored 232 times while providing 105 assists in 377 appearances for the Reds to date.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have reportedly joined Real Madrid in the race to sign Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. As claimed by sportBIBLE, the Bavarian giants view the Englishman as the potential replacement for Joshua Kimmich.

Just like Alexander-Arnold, Kimmich's current deal expires this summer and the German looks destined to leave on a free transfer. Alexander-Arnold has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months.

The creative full-back came through Liverpool's esteemed youth ranks and has been a key player for them since his debut in 2016. He has made 335 appearances for his boyhood club till date scoring 20 times while producing 85 assists.
