English former footballer Chris Sutton has predicted a 2-1 win for Ruben Amorim's Manchester United against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday, December 7. The Red Devils suffered a 2-0 defeat against Mikel Arteta's Arsenal on Wednesday, while Forest fell 3-0 against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
Currently 13th in the league table, United have secured 19 points from 14 matches. They will host Nuno Espirito Santo's Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Saturday, who are seventh in the Premier League with 22 points.
While discussing the fixture, Chris Sutton talked about Forest's 3-0 defeat to City. The BBC sports columnist claimed that Nuno Espirito's side will score in the match, but expects United to claim the three points. He said (via the BBC):
"I don't see this game as being straightforward for United, either. Forest have already won at Anfield this season and they created chances against City on Wednesday, so I am expecting more of same from them here."
Sutton further added:
"I am going to be a bit coward with my prediction, though. I backed Forest to get something at the Etihad Stadium, and I was wrong, so I am not brave enough to back them again on their return to Manchester. I'm disappointing in myself with the prediction to be honest, although I do think Forest will score this time."
After Nottingham Forest, the Red Devils will travel to Czechia to face Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Europa League before they lock horns against Manchester City on Sunday, December 15.
Manchester United set to sign a new deal with 22-year-old star: Reports

In his first two seasons in Manchester, the Ivorian attacker was loaned to Rangers and Sunderland. However, Diallo is becoming a crucial part of United's first team under new head coach Ruben Amorim.
This season, Amad Diallo has made 20 appearances for Manchester United across all competitions, bagging three goals and five assists. Additionally, he has started seven matches for United in the Premier League.
